the san nicolas property of the alcantaras is right on the edge of taal lake. it is on a hill that gives it a commanding view of the lake from the top and has several levels. to go to the corner where amiel’s urn sits, you need to go up the stairs. this is the view of the lake when you look back to the lake from the top of the stairs that is on the same level where amiel’s urn sits.
